Playing around with the gifts we got after we bang open our Christmas crackers!

The most awaited time, present exchange! Just lacking a christmas tree..

All SMILES!

Started with me but I didn't want to give the present to him in the restaurant..then followed by him to KaiYin and Liping then.

Then LiPing to KarLai, KarLai to WaiXin (in the next picture) and WaiXin to QiHua.
Awww..he gave her a beautiful heart shape Swarovski

And QiHua to Me!

Love the weird complex shape hood she bought, especially with the ball-ball! =)
Well, the chain terminates here so we started with a new person.

MeiKee to Shanice and vice versa =.=

Sad to say this would be possibly the last gathering between us =(
But definitely we'll always be close and celebrate the festive seasons in our heart,

Love, Hugs, Kisses.

Hand made tong-yuen(s)

On a totally irrelevant part, I just got to know what 'Dōngzhì' (冬至) Festival is and to my understanding, I know it as 'tong yuen' (Glutinous balls) day. So for this year 2010 Winter Solstice Festival, we hand made the balls as we did last time.

More colour variety this time =)

White dough

Orange dough

Purple dough

We had green dough too!

Cut the pandan leaves, then grind it using the grinder, find the strongest person in the house to squeeze the juice out of em', filter the juice to get a pure green liquid and voila! green dough without preservative or artificial colouring =D

Everyone working hard

In the process of rolling the balls =)

With many weird shapes coming out..
Hearts, Dices, Mushroom, Pizza, etc. etc.

And we boiled ginger pandan soup to go with the tong-yuens

We also had peanuts which was 'fried' and grinded

And the glutinous balls we have!

Not just a typical American breakfast

Because Dear made it =)

Although it looks simple just like any other American breakfast, this brightens up my morning and cheers my tummy.

Love you.

The shortest trip ever to and fro from Nottingham

Went on a day trip (well, 3.5hours to be honest, to and fro from Nottingham) to Leicester just for some cheap nice sushi and a cup coffee.

Yen Sushi

The sushi, especially the sashimi(s) are awesome cheap and nice =)

Salmon roll (16 pieces for 5 pounds 60)

Spicy salmon skin roll

Halfway eating it snowed! Ahh, my camera lousy =(

Salmon roe! SO BIG, FAT, AND JUICY! Bite into it and that's cod liver oil.

Salmon sashimi - Fresh, Big, Cheap

Scallop sashimi - well, it's worth the price but the smell..=S

Ahmss..

And we ate a total of 37.17 pounds, filling our stomach, intestines and up to my esophagus.

Walked around town a while and toured off to the outdoor market.
Bought celery, iceberg lettuce and 6 tomatoes for 2.60 pounds!

The city
It was weird having a white Christmas tree but a band of Indian guys were playing Indian songs under it. =.=

Leicester's train station which is very much alike to Nottingham's train station

Hehehe..Coffee republic
Mine's Cafe Latte and Dear's Kinder Bueno Shake

It snowed in Leicester ♥..but not in Nottingham = (

On the train..back to home sweet home

Next trip down to Leicester - Easter Holiday =)
(or maybe earlier..)

Many many apologies

I'm handicapped these days since I don't have my laptop with me. I shall (promise!) update a post with pictures real soon alright?!

Plus, I'm going down Leicester this Saturday for some sushi and my favourite coffee! Can't wait =)

Cheers and loves
(Isn't my pink leavers' hoodie pretty?)
