The only thing to do when I've got nothing to do

Was on the verge of dying in boredom and decided to draw even though I'm not good at it. Pictures are very random. Drew what I knew and what comes to mind.

Teacher teaching Mathematics

Curly hair lady reading a book

Matt's Wonderland - Julie! After looking at her Facebook page and eventually dozed off at this table desk.

Then they met up one day and  Matt was pretty shy *pinkish cheeks*
But Julie was so cool.

Somehow, they ended up together and they held hands.

-End of story-

Pfft...and not to forget, TVXQ my

And the beautification of my Lab Book.

Gosh...all thanks to AFM machine.

Dozed a dozen times,
Shifted my precious tide,
Browsed area far-reaching,
Scoped only in nanometer length.

All the way from Malaysia from Mr Tan.

A million gazillion thanks to Shiun Lei for CNY cookies!
Haven't been celebrating Chinese New Year for the past 2 years with family, collecting red packets, reunion dinners, grandpa's birthday celebration, house visiting, etc.

Love Letter @ Kuih Kah Pek
(In a very typical Chinese container with red lids!)
I wonder how many my dad keeps this time...

Chinese Dried BBQ Pork (Yuk Gon, Bak Kwa)

Peanut cookies! Which I seldom eat while I'm in Malaysia but it's nearly finished by Day 2 after receiving!

Shiun Lei, you're a good man. =)

Thanks for everything!

CNY gathering

At least I had something to look forward to from the beginning of this week - Friday's CNY dinner at PeachyKeen.

The gathering was really great in that we all had a good time, laughed our hearts out, and possibly the last time to have such a time where we can actually sit down and be crazy.

I admit that I actually ate A LOT. But that was really because I was hungry.

Sashimi, sushis, and Peking duck roll!
Obviously we took more sashimi since they're so good =P

Plain naan! I remembered we could actually order Garlic naan but oh well, looks like they're too busy that day.

Chow mein! I like. Tell what style of sauce you want to the chef and he'll get it ready within 5 minutes!
Szechuan style my favourite!

Desserts aplenty..chocolate and berries cakes, jellies..

Mouse, chocolate cakes..

Ice-cream with Jelly-beans or fruits or whatever you want to add it lah! Your style..

More pictures will be uploaded and posted soon in another post =)

난 괴물이 아니에요. 난 그냥 많이 먹고!
(I'm not a monster. I just eat a lot!)

Went to Doncaster today and how happy I was that I met Coffee Republic! Obviously, I order Supremo (the largest), and my favourite  Caffe Mocha

Weird that nowadays when I drink Nescafe, normally I would have gastric irritation where it makes me nauseated and really unwell but it sort of got worst now that I find myself getting difficulty in breathing. There's like a plug which is not completely plugged in my arterial and I had to breath in and out hard.

Cappuccino does me no harm. Hm, looks like I've got to change my preference.
Different amount of caffeine huh?

Caffe mocha, no sugar added. Ready to drink on the spot!

Went and took a passport photo today and looking back at my previous pictures, LOLS, well, I did change. A little.

Er..age 9? and then age 20 (This one right, not my problem, the photographer fail).

Age 21 and age 22.

Age 23.

Oh how much I've aged.

I think I've gone through too many interviews that I'm no longer nervous.
Pfth, experiences and age.

23rd Birthday second post

Celebrated my birthday as well with my 'family' -  QiHua, WaiXin, KarLai, LiPing, MeiKee and MeeChan
And my present from them -  a bag that where I can stuff my lab book in. Personal request. Lols.

(This year, we're getting presents that we ourselves want instead of surprise suprise!)

And they treat me to Strada!
How could I not possibly love them..

My main course -  Sirloin steak

And theirs..

Took some together pictures

And my dessert - Oh was it sour!

And theirs as well...

When's my next course coming huh?!

Someone's fault, My fault and My love

-My story of the day-
I'm gonna write this down so that maybe, maybe I will, or will not laugh at it later on.

I was doing my UV polymerization AGAIN because the stage was imbalance and fall of, leading to my glass slides sliding off and one of them shattered into pieces. Luckily the other 3 were fine, but I got mixed up with one of the slides as to which sample it was for.

Yeah, so back to UV polymerization, I need to pump out oxygen from the chamber until it reaches 2000ppm, which takes approximately 15 minutes (21% to 0.2%). When I'm done with that, I switched on the UV light and my sample which needs to be polymerize for 20 minutes was in there for 5minutes ONLY when I was interrupted. MAHDE (not real name) had done their monomer and catheter and came rushing to me saying, "Are you using the UV chamber? We need to put in our samples IMMEDIATELY else......(whatever the reason, I forgot) and it takes a long time, like 30minutes to prepare the samples. However, I just need to polymerize it for 5 minutes."

I can't say NO to someone superior no? I had to polymerize my samples, and then put them on a temperature stage for it to equilibrate for 45minutes before I can measure what I want to measure. 30 minutes to prepare sample and 5 minutes polymerization? Damn, you must be a genius.

I asked whether can they push the samples back after 5 minutes and push mine in so that theirs are not under UV light but NO, they can't. They just need 5 minutes long and then it take out.

So, how much of my time that they've wasted?
20minutes to reach 0.2%, 5 minutes into polymerization, 20 minutes to let the level drop back to 0.2% and another 20 minutes to polymerize and 45 minutes to equilibrate. 1 HOUR AND 50 MINUTES.
You could have just waited for 15 minutes, then put your sample in instead of wasting my precious shit.

I went back home at half 7. Thanks to you(s).

Thereafter, when I was walking back up the stairs after drinking water to cool down my flaming fire, they were coming down. What they said? "Hey, we're done for the day!". MAHDE you.

Don't tell me this is fine because it's not. Wasting my 2 precious shit and going back earlier is not fine.

OK, settle. Let bygones be bygones.

I did wrote some not-so-good things in one of my post and I've deleted it since then thanks to my dear Dad who had given me a good scolding although I hesitated to listen to his words. My apologies for that and dad has taught me and my siblings what to expect in life, think positively and all the other good morale. My dad is not a big influence as to how I express my feelings but he impacted on my life so much that I cannot think negatively with those wise words he had nurtured me.

I'm sorry for that one post, deep down, truly from my heart. God bless.

On another note, I've got my 2nd good news in 2011 and I'm delighted with it.

And I made pancakes for Dear. I'll make this for Daddy and Mummy when I'm back!

-who hasn't been good last time, and furious today, but everything will be alright tomorrow-

Happy Chinese New Year

This CNY, we all made an effort to cook ourselves. Potluck for the rabbit year!

Clockwise; starting from the black pan with the ladder in it:
Korean Ddukbokki (韩风辣炒年糕)--> Marmite Chicken Wing (妈蜜鸡翅)--> Sweet and sour pork (咕噜肉) --> Cola chicken(可乐鸡)--> Ginger onion fish (姜葱鱼片) --> Meat roll (创意肉卷) --> Mixed mushroom (三星报喜)--> Dumpling soup (馄沌汤)--> Vinegar pork leg (猪脚醋) --> Fried glutinous rice (生炒糯米饭) --> Lou sang (七彩捞生)

The container with the red cover is cornflakes cookies!

Lou ah, lou ah, lou ah, the higher the better.
But in UK, don't waste. This is precious stuff. One year once. Don't take high up in the air and let go.

Happy Chinese New Year to those who are celebrating this festive season!

New blog layout

What do you think of it?

Like/ dislike?
On another note, thank GOD for his blessing. I passed all my exams paper and this would be my last semester.
I hope lab finish fast.
So I can go back home.
And think nothing else but enjoy, eat, shop, hanging out, etc.

And in the mean time, worry about Visa application. Hope God's blessing be upon us all.

Gideon Chang played for HK, not Malaysia.

G. Chang in action. Er no, finish action. With his partner Alan Man.

Sorry I haven't been updating. Haven't got hold of the many pictures taken, hence, my absence.

To update, went to see dear playing badminton for HK in Joint Asian Game organised by Nottingham's Thai Society.

Erhm, least to say, it's hundred times worst than I expected. Audience wise, participants wise as well.

He took picture with so many others except me. So I grumbled. And we took pictures.

Soon, soon, really soon I'll be active again!
