Bloody Sunday

With the historic events imprinted very well in this city, the murals on the walls surrounding Bogside each explains the sequence and depicting the scenes clearly.

Jackie Duddy, the youngest boy killed in the event, while his father, the bishop wave a white handkerchief to bring him to safety, but later realize he's already dead.

In commemoration of hunger strikers who passed away

I have no idea why is this mural painted but...well, why not, right?
I only recognised Mother Theresa and Nelson Mendela.

To feed your curiosity, here's a link to get to know more about the Bloody Sunday event.

TODAY

Bloody Sunday or the Bogside Massacre happened on the 30th January 1972 in the Bogside area of Derry, Northern Ireland. 26 unarmed civil rights protestors were shot by the British soldiers. On the 15th June 2010, 28 years later, the British government finally acknowledged that their soldier troops were in the wrong, as stated in the Lord Saville inquiry.

I felt privileged to be able to share the happiness and joy felt by the family members and people of Northern Ireland when the inquiry was read out.

Oh Happy Days!

Grianan of Ailligh

Grianán Ailigh

The historical monument in County Donegal, Ireland
Built around the time of Iron Age, the stone fortress lies prominent on a hilltop, commanding views over Lough Foyle, Lough Swilly, and Londonderry.

Morphology of the fort - 3.9m thick, enclose an area of 23.4m in diameter.

♥ Kayty, Colin, Tracy and Rebecca

Some underground dungeon. It stinks a little when you're closer to the gate.

Moi and Becca

The stones stacking up are just amazing. Layers and layers of staircases before getting up to the wall-walk.

The entrance into the fort

Beautiful view NO?

I had brain freeze within 5minutes after walking out from the car. Too cold, too windy.

Meals meals meals and meals

It's been more than excited watching Germany vs England. Which team was your bet on Huh?

Anyway, both team did a good job but obviously, Germany gave a better shot. Obvious obvious obvious.

I had a great time yesterday too. Munching away, vine-ing away, shandy-ing, vodka + coke, nuts, and a good ol' hearty meal.

Talk about high alcohol tolerance. Well, suppose I got a wee bit better than before = D

Medium Dry, deliciously light and mellow.

And the dinner we had. Steamed broccoli and carrot, roast potato, mashed potato, white and red meat, cheesy cauliflower.

Cheese cauliflower

Mashed potato

Roasted potato

Fruit meringue for dessert

And MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!

Cheers everybody!!!
It's been a good weekend.

Pre-work time management

Oh, LOLS! What a title.

You know you just didn't nor do you have the drive to 'pan leng leng' (make-up) to work when

#1 Have to wake up like half an hour to an hour before you leave house

#2 Oh, add another half an hour when you have to prepare breakfast and eat your breakfast at the same time

#3 Well, I'm mostly in the dispensary, not sales department, so WHAT'S THE POINT right?

#4 Sleep is more important than anything else. If not eye bags la, pimples la, and everything else appear

But a simple foundation and eyebrow liner and a bit of blusher takes only...5minutes?
That's good enough = D

Oh and most importantly

#5 My hair is in a total mess now. Every morning I wake and look into the mirror, "How am I going to go to work like this..". SIGH. And sometimes I just bun it up messily, or just wear a headband, or just tie it up or just braid me front hair and push it to the back. Whatever that goes with my hair mood swing.

I can see aeroplane flying from me room. Can't wait to go back.
And I saw a man galloping his horse on the road today.
Random.

Heesh, what a pain in the ass.

A Sunday worth spending

Last Sunday, Tracy invited me to her place and I swear I've slept on the most comfortable bed ever in my whole entire life.

And a beautiful bedside lamp <3

She has sheep too!

And her doggie, Angel :)

The view out looking from her verandah

A day trip down to Portstewart

The Causeway view is just too euphoric. Euphorism.

And the awesome breeze...Mmmm-Mmmm

And then we headed down to the amusement park. BARRY'S AMUSEMENT PARK!
Oh well, it's like a mini version of Genting.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And because the Sunday was Cemetery Sunday (remember the previous post where I mentioned The City Cemetery, yeap, this's the place), multitude of people flooded the cemetery to pray for their loved ones (say about a few thousands?).

And there was this section dedicated to babies who were either stillbirth, or unborn, this's where they have a place to remember their little ones. Teddies, blankets, all sorts of things.

A short video of part of the ceremony

God bless
